And you don’t need to be early in your career to get into remote work—even if you are a seasoned leader, you can still pivot your career from an in-person office to your living room.

In this article we’ll go over the 13 websites that you should check out to find a remote job.

Remote Only Job Boards

These job boards offer exclusively hybrid and remote opportunities. So, if there is a remote listing out there, it will likely be on one of these job boards.

One of the biggest remote job boards out there, FlexJobs contains over 150,000 job postings from 6,500 companies across dozens of industries. They have a team that spends over 200 hours per day ensuring that all the jobs posted are high quality and legit.

It does require a subscription. But at $9.95/month, it’s a worthwhile investment.

If you want to work at a company culture that values work-life balance, then this is the site for you. You can filter your job search for the following:

  • 4 day week (~32 hours at 100% pay)

  • 4 day week (~32 hours at 80% pay)

  • 4 day week every 2nd week

  • 9 day fortnight

  • Half day Fridays (4.5 day week)

  • Summer Fridays (summer 4 day week)

  • 5 day week with “Flexible Fridays”

  • 5 day week (40+ days vacation)

  • 5 day week (unlimited PTO)

  • 5 day week (very flexible hours)

  • Part time

JustRemote is another platform for strictly remote positions across a wide range of industries and job categories.

You can also unlock hidden remote positions with JustRemote's PowerSearch feature for just $6/month. PowerSearch scans company websites to find exclusive job openings that never make it to traditional job boards.

This is a virtual job board that posts 1,000 jobs per month. You can also subscribe to daily notifications of new job postings.

We Work Remotely also allows you to search by employer and filter for remote companies with the most positions open.

Job Boards for Execs

If you're a senior leader, another option is to use job boards specifically designated for management positions. These job boards will save you time by doing a lot of the filtering upfront.

Experteer is a virtual job board targeted at senior level and execs. All postings have a salary of at least $100,000. You can also filter your job search to just remote/hybrid options.

The site has a free option, but if you pay for a membership, you get access to every job posting on the site, the ability to see which recruiters visit your profile, and the ability to reply to recruiter contact requests.

Here’s another virtual job board with minimum $100k job postings. There’s a remote filter you can switch on when searching for jobs.

Ladders also has a feature called Apply4Me, where it applies to jobs for you. You just have to fill out an 18-question survey, and then it’ll auto-apply to positions for you. Ladders also has a team that will review all of your auto-applications to clean up any errors. Their pitch is that it’ll save you 18 minutes per application. Which adds up!

That said, it may still be worth writing up an application yourself. Even if it takes longer, sometimes that human touch will make your application stand out more. Also, be aware that Human Resource leaders consider the application to be a legal document, so it’s a bit of a legal/ethical gray area to have an app apply for you.

That said, if you’re curious about other AI tools out there to help you land a job, check out this article.

ExecuNet ups the anty and only shows jobs with a salary of $150k or more.

There is a free version where you can have access to plenty of remote exec postings. Though if you pay $39/month you get the Premium version which has a few perks including 1:1 Strategy Sessions with a former CEOs or a recruiter to help you plan your remote job search.

If you are shooting for a job in the C-Suite, here is one massively overlooked tip: negotiate your exit before you start.

Startup Job Boards

If you want to bring your talents to a startup, look no further. These job boards are geared toward finding work in startups of all stages.

Formerly Angel List Talent, Wellfound is a virtual job board just for startups. From SaaS to blockchain to fintech, Wellfound has it all. And there are plenty of senior roles available.

There are offerings from everything from early stage startups to well-established companies. In the past, some pretty impressive companies have used Wellfound to hire talent, including Peloton, Postmates, Airtable, and NerdWallet.

Wellfound also has an option called Featured where you fill out a profile, and they will show you to recruiters seeking candidates whose desired skills match your’s.

Y Combinator is a prestigious startup incubator that invests in, mentors, and provides a powerful network to a selective group of startups. A few notable companies that have come out of YC over the years include Reddit, Airbnb, and Dropbox.

The job postings are updated frequently, and joining one of these teams will put you at the cutting edge.

Startup Jobs has some exquisite options. It includes job openings from companies like Spotify, Coinbase, and Stripe, as well as younger startup ventures.

You can filter your search for remote roles and find plenty of options.

It’s also well-catered to executive positions, as seen below:

Traditional Job Boards

When in doubt, one of these classic job boards is always a good call. They each have an option to filter just for remote roles.

You definitely can’t go wrong with LinkedIn.

Creating a skillful LinkedIn profile will help your chances, and may even cause recruiters to reach out to you.

You can also invest in LinkedIn Premium for $29.95/month, which allows you to send direct messages to anyone on LinkedIn, even if you’re not connected.

Google does it all. Google for Jobs is another aggregator of job postings with a remote filter.

This is an especially powerful platform because Google pulls job postings from Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Jobera, and everyone else on the web.

Indeed is another catch-all option. You can find tons of remote, senior positions to apply for.

Also, consider that if you want to find a remote job, there are really three ways to go about it: 1 apply for jobs directly, 2 use your network, or 3 work with third-party recruiters.
