Frequently asked questions
  • What is the Ready Reset Go career coaching process?
Ready Reset Go offers four tiers of career coaching to accommodate your specific needs and budget. Our tiers range from weekly group coaching and on-demand modules to private coaching with founder, Cara Heilmann, herself. Our most popular offering (tiers 2 and 3) includes private coaching with engagements that typically span 2-3 months. They’ll look something like this: Create your account/profile in our online community Get matched with your private career coach Work with your career coach to align on career direction and build your go-to-market strategy Get to work! Meet with your coach once a week to get support and motivation to accelerate your job search Many people kick off their career coaching with Ready Reset Go (RRG) on a Job Search Analysis call with our lead coach, Cara Heilmann. The call is structured to help both you and the RRG team understand your needs and map out a program that is customized to your needs. Explore all of our available plans here.
  • What is the time commitment?
Private coaching engagements with Ready Reset Go are a minimum of two months. The length of the engagement will depend on what you hope to accomplish with your career coach and where you are in your job search. We recommend setting aside around 4-5 hours per week to work with your coaching team, watch online learning modules, and conduct your job search (if applicable). Some weeks might be heavier than others, so work with your coach to plan out your time commitment based on your go-to-market strategy. Like many things, you’ll get out of career coaching what you put into it, so be prepared to put in some effort alongside your coach to achieve the best results.
  • How much of the coaching program is 1-on-1 vs group sessions vs on-demand learning?
Ready Reset Go (RRG) is recognized for offering the most effective coaching frameworks in the market. Most clients in tiers with a private coach will spend 20% of their time or less watching online learning modules and the remaining in coaching sessions or actively conducting their job search. If you have opted for Tier 1 with group coaching only, you can expect to spend most of your time watching online learning modules with ~1 hour per week in optional group coaching sessions.
  • What happens if I need to reschedule one week?
If you have a private coach and need to reschedule a call but they are not able to accommodate your request, then you can stay connected through our community platform. Since this is a flat fee service, there are no credits for missed appointments. We recommend planning ahead to ensure you don’t forgo any services. Group coaching calls cannot be rescheduled.
  • What happens if I’m not ready for my next private coaching session?
Even if you haven’t completed your assigned homework, it is highly recommended that you keep your next private coaching session. There is always something your coach can support you with, in the interim, whether it be career clarity, support with your current workplace, or interview practice.
  • Do I get my résumé, cover letter and LinkedIn updated while working with Ready Reset Go?
When you purchase a tier 3 and 4 package with Ready Reset Go, we will update or create your dossier, which includes your résumé, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile. An expertly crafted dossier is often your only chance to make a first impression with a potential employer. Before an interview, your résumé is what gets you noticed—it’s the marketing document that sells you and tells your story when you’re not in the room. If it doesn't capture attention within a few seconds, you may not move forward. We understand how critical the dossier creation process is, which is why our approach is highly collaborative. You will work closely with your private coach during this time to highlight and extract all the important details that will go into your dossier. Your dossier will also be reviewed by Ready Reset Go’s professional proofreader and members of the leadership team to ensure you are presented in the best possible way. Creating a new résumé usually takes 2-4 weeks from start to finish if you complete your assignments on time. If you have chosen a tier without dossier creation, you can create or revise your own dossier with the support of the on-demand materials and coaching available within your tier. Learn more about what is included in each tier here.
